What do you need to request a loan?
Four basics let you send a request. The lender then decides whether it can make you an offer.
- 18 or olderWith a valid ID and Social Security number.
- Living in an available state45 states are covered. See the state list.
- An active checking accountLenders deposit funds and collect payments there.
- Steady incomeAt least $1,000 a month before tax; about $2,000 for requests of $5,000 or more.
What will the application ask?
Full legal name, date of birth, Social Security number, home address, email, phone, employer and how long you have worked there, pay frequency, monthly income, and your checking account’s routing and account numbers.
You do not upload documents to send the request. A lender may ask for a pay stub or bank statement later, before funding.
Is there a minimum credit score?
No single cut-off applies. Each lender sets its own criteria, and many look closely at income and banking activity alongside your credit report.
Does meeting the basics mean approval?
No. It means you can apply. The amount offered, the APR and whether you receive an offer at all depend on the lender’s review.
